Originals are players that were on opening day rosters in 1997 but were not drafted in the Elite Draft or the 1997 draft.  Lisa Leslie and Sheryl Swoopes fit in this category.  Undrafted and assigned players who have entered the league since then without being drafted are included with the year of their debut.  Thus Katie Smith goes with 1999 and Adrian Williams goes with 2000.  Drafted players go with the year they are drafted even if they didn't appear until a later season.  Tamika Catchings goes with 2001.  The 1997 Elite Draft is included in 1997.

All Stars include those that missed the game due to injury and those selected to replace them.  USA is for the games between WNBA select teams and Team USA, like The Game at Radio City in 2004.  I put them in a separate column because the W is inconsistent about how it counts them.  Sometimes they're included in All Star appearances and sometimes not.
